Overseas Mediclaim Employment and Studies

The Overseas Mediclaim Employment and Studies is a package policy that has been tailor-made to meet the requirements of people travelling abroad to pursue education or to work. The insured traveller is covered from several unforeseen risks including medical illness, medical emergency reunion, repatriation of mortal remains, loss or delay of baggage and medical evacuation. The policy covers the insured student under contingency insurance if his or her education has been sponsored.

National Travel Insurance Coverage

Travel insurance policies by National Insurance covers the insured traveller for the following risks:

Medical Illness

Treatment cost of any illness or disease diagnosed during the international trip will be covered under the overseas insurance policy by National Travel Insurance.

Medical Evacuation

In case the insured needs to be evacuated to a hospital or medical healthcare provider, the cost will be borne by the insurer.

Repatriation of Mortal Remains

National Insurance will cover the expenses incurred on the transporting the mortal remains of the insured traveller back to India, in case of his untimely death abroad.

Emergency Dental Treatment

Personal Accident & Permanent Disablement

National Travel Insurance covers the expenses incurred on the treatment of any injury or illness arising out of any accident. It also provides compensation to the insured in case the accident causes permanent disability.

Loss of Checked-in Baggage

It provides compensation to the insured in case his check-in baggage is misplaced or lost by the scheduled airline with which he was travelling.

Delay of Checked-in Baggage

The insurer will reimburse the expenses incurred on the purchase of essential items such as medicines, toiletries, clothes, etc., in case the check-in baggage of the insured has been delayed by the scheduled airline for more than 12 hours.

Personal Liability

National Travel Insurance: List of Exclusions

National Travel Insurance does not cover the below-mentioned situations and events:

  • Pre-Existing Diseases: It does not cover the expenses incurred on the treatment of any pre-existing diseases or any disease diagnosed before the commencement of the trip.
  • Defying Doctor’s Advice: The insurer will not cover the insured in case he is travelling abroad against his doctor’s advice.
  • Medical Treatment: In case the insured is travelling abroad to obtain any medical treatment, including routine check-ups, National Travel Insurance will not cover the cost.
  • Participation in Defence Operations: Any claims arising out of the insured’s participation in an Army, Airforce or Naval operations will not be covered by the insurer.
  • Self-Inflicted Injuries: In case the insured traveller harms himself or causes any self-inflicted injuries, including suicide or attempt of suicide, the treatment cost will not be covered by the insurance provider.
  • Use of Intoxicants: Any claims arising out of the insured consumption or abuse of intoxicants such as alcohol or drugs will be excluded under National Travel Insurance policies
  • Mental Disorder: The insurer will not cover any expenses incurred on the treatment of any mental disorder of the insured traveller/ student
  • HIV, AIDS: The treatment cost of any illness related to HIV or AIDS will not be covered by the insured.
  • Adventure Sports: Any claims arising out of the insured traveller's participation in adventure sports such as skiing, scuba diving and mountaineering will not be covered by National Insurance.

National Travel Insurance Claim Procedure

  • Send a pre-authorization letter to your ISP

Fair Policy

I buy national travel insurance plan. The policy coverage is high and the claims are even better. Luggage and accidental benefits are inbuilt in the policy plan. Good service facilitate by the executives and staff members. Daily updates are send to my accounts. But the tickets return refunds are not available. Nice work, i like it.
