2. Transit Visa

   A transit visa is the type of visa that can be applied for by travellers who want to catch a connecting flight from one of the international airports in UAE. This visa is valid for a single entry only and can't be used to visit or stay in the UAE for more than 96 hours.

3. Student Visa

   A UAE student visa is a type of visa meant for people who want to study at a university in the UAE. The student visa can be obtained by the sponsor of the child, who may be the UAE-based university, parents, guardians or a relative of the child. A student visa can be renewed on expiry.

4. Work Permit

   A UAE work permit allows foreign nationals who want to work in this Arab country. It is issued by the MoHRE or the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and should be applied by the worker's employer on his behalf.

5. Patient/Patient Companion Entry Permit

   This type of UAE visa is meant for people travelling to receive medical treatment in the UAE. The permit can be obtained only if the treatment is sponsored by a licensed UAE-based hospital or medical establishment.

   It is also available for people who are accompanying a patient who is supposed to receive medical treatment in the UAE. It is issued by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners' Affairs.
