    Aditya Birla Hospital Cash Policy Overview

    Aditya Birla Hospital Cash policy provides a fixed hospital cash amount to the insured for each day of hospitalization due to an injury or illness. It provides double the hospital cash benefit amount in case the insured is hospitalized due to a road accident or admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). It also provides a one-time convalescence benefit. In case the insured is 12 years or less, a parents accommodation benefit is also provided.

    The Aditya Birla Active Secure Hospital Cash policy offers a daily hospital cash amount ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 10,000. Moreover, the policy comes with hospital cash days of 30, 45 and 60 days.

    However, the Aditya Birla Hospital Cash policy comes with a one-day deductible and the daily cash amount will be paid from day two of hospitalization.

    Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited provides the following coverage:

    • Daily Cash Allowance Benefit- Offers a hospital cash benefit for each day of hospitalization resulting from an accident or illness
    • ICU Hospitalization Benefit- Offers double hospital cash benefit amount for a maximum of 10 days if the insured is admitted to the ICU
    • Road Accident Hospitalization Benefit - Offers double hospital cash benefit amount for a maximum of 10 days  if the insured is hospitalized due to a road traffic accident
    • Convalescence Benefit - Offers a lump sum amount as recovery benefit if the insured is hospitalized for 7 days or more
    • Parental Accommodation Benefit - Offers a lump sum amount if the insured is 12 years or less and a daily cash benefit for 3 days or more has been paid

    The following medical expenses are not covered by Aditya Birla Hospital Cash policy:

    • Self-injury or an attempt to suicide
    • Outpatient treatment
    • Day care procedures
    • Treatment arising out of war or nuclear activities
    • HIV AIDS
    • Non-allopathic treatment
    • Treatment arising out of criminal breach of law
    • Regular health check-ups
    • Obesity or weight management programs
    • Treatment arising out of the abuse of alcohol and drugs
    • Dental treatment
