    Eligibility Criteria for Star Cancer Care Gold Health Insurance

    People between the age group of 5 months and 65 years, who have been diagnosed with Stage 1 or Stage 2 Cancer can get covered under this policy. The proposer can also get his/her spouse, dependent parents and children covered.

    Features of Star Cancer Care Gold Health Insurance

    • Star health insurance for cancer does not require the applicant to undergo pre-medical screening irrespective of their age
    • 30 days grace period is provided from date the policy expiry date
    • Sum Insured is provided on an individual basis
    • Sum Insured options are Rs 3 Lakh / Rs 5 Lakh
    • The policy term is 1-year
    • 10% co-pay is applicable for people above the age of 60 years at the time of policy inception. Co is applicable at the time of renewal as well

    Inclusions of Star Cancer Care Gold Health Insurance

    • The policy offers hospital room rent cover for a Single Standard A/c room. It also compensates for Boarding, Nursing expenses, anaesthesia, blood, operation theatre, oxygen, , Surgical appliances, drugs, medicine, and the fees charged by the surgeon, doctor, medical specialist, anaesthetist, consultants, etc.
    • Emergency Ambulance cover is provided up to Rs 1,500 for each hospitalization and up to a maximum of Rs 2000
    • Pre-Hospitalization incurred 30 days before the hospitalization can also be claimed
    • Post Hospitalization expenses incurred 60 days before getting discharged from the hospital are also covered
    • All the daycare procedures are covered
    • 50% of the lumpsum amount is paid in case of metastasis, second malignancy, and recurrence of cancer
    • Moreover, the policy also provides indemnity health cover for illnesses and accidents other than Cancer

    Exclusions of Star Cancer Care Gold Health Insurance

    • 30 days waiting period is applicable after the policy purchase
    • Specified disease/procedure can only be covered after a waiting period of 24 months
    • Pre-existing diseases can only be covered after a waiting period of 48 months
