Star Criticare Plus Insurance Policy

Star Criticare plus insurance policy covers 9 specified critical illnesses. The payment is made in lump sum upon diagnosis of a critical illness. Individuals between the age group of 18 years and 65 years can buy this critical illness policy.

Star critical illness plan compensates medical expenses incurred on 9 critical illnesses:

  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • First diagnosis of Cancer
  • Acute Myocardial Infarction
  • Brain tumor undergoing for the first time
  • First major Organ Transplantation
  • Established Irreversible Paraplegia
  • Cerebrovascular Stroke causing Hemiplegia
  • Established Irreversible Coma
  • Established Irreversible Quadriplegia

Star Cardiac Care Insurance Policy

Star Cardiac Care is a critical illness plan that covers treatments related to cardiac diseases. The coverage benefits are offers after the completion of the waiting period of 90 days, which does not apply for renewals.

  • Policy Tenure: One year
  • Sum Insured options: Rs 3 lakh and Rs 4 lakh
  • Sum Insured Type: Individual
  • Cardiac cover- Specific medical insurance plan for people with existing Cardiac illnesses
  • Flexible Cover- The policy covers hospitalization expenses for non-cardiac treatments and accidents as well
  • Out-patient cover-Cover for Out-patient benefit is available
  • Eligibility Criteria: Any person between 10 years and 65 years of age, who has:
  • Undergone Stenting or By-pass surgery within 7 years period before proposal
  • Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) or Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) that has been corrected
  • Patent Ductus Arteriosus that has been treated
  • Undergone RF Ablation or had an Angiogram that required no medical intervention

Star Cancer Care Gold

Someone who has just been diagnosed with Cancer or has already completed treatment can get insured under this cancer insurance policy. If you got cured of Cancer you may still be incurring medical expenses for other illnesses and the expenses can be claimed under this Star Cancer Care Gold health insurance plan.

  • Age Criteria: Individuals between the age group of 5 months and 65 years, who have  been diagnosed with Stage 1 or Stage 2 Cancer
  • Members Covered- The policy holder may cover Dependent Children/ Spouse/Dependent Parents
  • Sum Insured Options: Rs 3 lakh / Rs 5 lakh
  • Coverage Type: Individual
  • Policy Tenure: One year
