      United India Hospital Cash Insurance is a health insurance cover that provides a daily allowance to the insured to cover incidental hospitalization expenses, such as travelling, food, etc. It lowers the financial burden on the policyholder by covering out of pocket expenses generally excluded under regular health insurance plans.

      United India Hospital Cash Policy Overview

      United India Hospital Cash policy provides a daily cash allowance to the insured for every 24 hours of hospitalization. It is available as an optional cover under the United India Individual Health Insurance policy. It offers a daily hospital cash amount of Rs 250 per day up to a maximum of Rs 2500 and Rs 500 per day up to a maximum of Rs 5000 per day during a policy year.

      However, the United India Hospital Cash policy comes with a deductible of 48 hours of hospitalization. Hence, the United India Insurance Company Limited will offer a daily cash allowance from the third day of hospitalization.

      Here are the key features and benefits of the United India Hospital Cash policy:

      • It is available in three plan types.
      • It provides a hospital cash benefit for each day of hospitalization.
      • It offers free health check-up after three consecutive claim-free years.
      • It comes with a deductible of 2 days of consecutive hospitalization.
      • It offers tax rebates on paid premium under section 80D of the Income Tax Act.

      Inclusions of United India Hospital Cash Policy

      The United India Insurance Company Limited offers a daily cash allowance to the insured for each day of hospitalization. The insured can avail a hospital cash amount of Rs 250/500 per day up to a maximum of Rs 2500 and Rs 5000 respectively.

      The policy will offer a free health check-up facility if no claims are raised for three consecutive years.

      Exclusions of United India Hospital Cash Policy

      The United India Hospital Cash policy does not cover the following medical expenses:

      • Maternity expenses
      • Non-allopathic or non-ayurvedic treatments
      • Treatment for alcoholism or other addictions
      • Intentional self-inflicted injury or any attempt to suicide
      • Stem cell therapy
      • Sterility or infertility treatments
      • Cosmetic or plastic surgery
      • Obesity or weight control procedures
      • Artificial life maintenance
      • Vaccination costs
      • Treatments taken outside India
