  • Tenure-5 months, 6.5 months, and 9.5 months
  • Age to buy- 18-65 years
  • Coverage age- 1 day- 65 years
  • Coverage Type- Individual/Family Floater
  • Sum Insured- Rs 50,0000- Rs 5 Lakh

Iffco Tokio Corona Kavach Policy Coverage

Iffco Tokio corona kavach policy covers hospitalization expenses for a minimum of 24-hours. The coverage is also extended to a Government approved makeshift treatment Centre. The expenses covered are given below:

  • Pre-hospitalization expenses- 15 days before the hospitalization/home treatment
  • Post-hospitalization charges- 30 days post getting discharged from the hospital/home treatment
  • Telemedicine charges- Iffco Tokio corona kavach policy also covers the cost of telemedicine charges.
  • Coverage for Consumable Items-The cost of PPE kits and other consumables likes masks, ventilators, gloves, oxygen cylinders are covered.
  • No capping on room rent- Under the Corona Kavach Health Insurance Policy, there is no cap on the room rent
  • Ayush Treatment Costs- Corona Kavach medical insurance plan offers coverage for inpatient care for Ayurveda, Unani, Yoga, Siddha, Homeopathy, and Naturopathy COVID treatment
  • Tax Benefits- The premium  paid on the corona kavach policy is eligible for tax benefits under the Section 80 D

What’s not covered under Iffco Tokio Corona Kavach Policy?

Iffco Tokio corona kavach policy comes with some exclusion. Under the Corona Kavach Health Insurance Policy to there are certain exclusions. It consists of but not limited to:

  • Claims filed for a COVID 19 diagnosis before the commencement or start of the policy
  • Claims filed for Daycare and OPD procedures
  • COVID 19 tests that are not conducted at a Government-authorized center shall not be covered
  • Coverage will be put on hold if found travelling to a country with travel restrictions
