    • Tax benefit: Corona Kavach policy premium is eligible for tax deduction under Section 80-D of the Income Tax Act
    • Family Floater Cover- This coronavirus health insurance policy offers coverage to you and your dependents under the same plan
    • Discount to Healthcare Workers- under this policy healthcare workers like doctors, nurses, and medical practitioners are eligible for a 5% discount on the policy premium

    Inclusions of Future Generali Corona Kavach Policy

    Future Generali Corona Kavach Policy offers the following coverage benefits to the insured person:

    Hospitalization Cover

    • Nursing, Boarding, Room rent Expenses as provided by the Nursing Home/ Hospital
    • Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) expenses
    • Medical Practitioner, Surgeon, Consultants, Anesthetist, and Specialist Fees is paid
    • The treatment cost including oxygen, blood, anaesthesia, surgical appliances, operation theatre charges, medicines, ventilator charges and drugs, are covered
    • It also covers the costs incurred towards diagnostic imaging modalities, diagnostics, masks, PPE Kit, gloves, and similar expenses
    • Road Ambulance charges for COVID hospitalization are also covered up to a limit of Rs 2000 per hospitalization for an admissible claim. The cost of transportation from one Hospital to another is also covered

    Pre and Post hospitalization Cover

    Treatment expenses that were incurred 15 days before hospital admission and 30 days after discharge are also covered under this coronavirus health insurance policy.

    Ayush Treatment Cover

    Ayush treatment expenses for COVID positive patient care treatment are covered in any Govt. registered AYUSH Hospital. It includes Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, Homeopathy and Unani systems of medicines.

    Home Treatment Expense Cover

    Corona Kavach policy also includes the cost of medical expenses incurred during the home treatment if prescribed by the treating doctor and is related to Coronavirus treatment:

    • Cost of medicines as per the prescription
    • Doctor’s consultation charges
    • Diagnostic tests undergone at a diagnostics or home Centre
    • Nursing charges
    • Cost of a Pulse meter, Oxygen cylinder, Oximeter, and Nebulizer
    • Medical procedures limited to parenteral administration of medicines

    Future Generali Corona Kavach Policy Optional Cover

    Future Generali Corona Kavach Policy offers Hospital Cash Benefit Optional Cover to the insured person. The insurer pays 0.5% of the sum insured amount on daily basis for 24 hours of admissible COVID hospitalization as per the policy. The company will pay for every insured person for a maximum of 15 days during a policy term.

    Exclusions of Future Generali Corona Kavach Policy

    The limitations under Future Generali Corona Kavach Policy are given below:

    • Corona Kavach COVID-19 health insurance policy does not cover coronavirus related expenses that were incurred before policy commencement
    • It will also not cover OPD consultation and Day Care procedures that do not require 24-hours of hospitalization
    • Expenses related to Coronavirus treatment that were incurred within 15 days of the policy purchase date
    • Vaccination and Inoculation expenses are also note covered
    • Unproven medical treatment expenses, services, and supplies in connection with any other treatment
    • Any treatment or medical diagnosis outside India
    • Testing done at non-Government authorized Centre
    • Any hospitalization expense related to medical investigation and evaluation

    Future Generali Corona Kavach Policy Claim Procedure

    You can choose to file either a cashless claim or a reimbursement claim for this Corona Kavach health insurance plan. The claim process is described below-

    Future Generali Corona Kavach Policy Reimbursement Claim

    • You are required to pay for the hospitalization expenses
    • However, you are required to fill and submit the claim reimbursement form within a month of the discharge
    • Moreover, you need to provide all the other medical documents and bills as well
    • The approval and rejection will be based on the policy wordings

    Future Generali Corona Kavach Cashless Health Claim

    • In this process of claim settlement, you need to take the treatment at any of the network hospital
    • At the hospital desk, you need to show your Future Generali health card
    • A properly filled pre-authorization request form is sent by the hospital to you.
    • Once the hospital receives the approval form from Future Generali, the benefit of cashless treatment will be provided to you.
    • The hospital bills will be directly settled by the insurer
    • In case of rejection of a cashless claim, you can continue with the medical treatment but the medical expenses will be paid by you.
    • However, after the discharge, you can file for reimbursement.
