Benefits of Renewing a Reliance Health Insurance Policy Before Expiry

Check out the benefits of renewing a Reliance Health Insurance policy before its expiry below:

      • Continuous Coverage - To maintain continuous medical coverage, policyholders must renew their Reliance health insurance policy before the deadline. Failure to do so will result in a break in policy, and the policyholder will not be able to file claims with Reliance General Insurance.
      • No Claim Bonus (NCB) Protection - By renewing the policy prior to the due date, policyholders can safeguard their No Claim Bonus and avail discounts on future premiums or enhance their coverage amount. Letting the health insurance policy lapse would result in the loss of accumulated NCB.
      • Lower Premiums - Renewing their Reliance health insurance policy before its expiry enables policyholders to evade paying higher premiums. This happens because insurance companies often charge a higher premium amount to policyholders who renew their policies after the due date
      • Tax Benefits - The premium paid for a Reliance health insurance policy qualifies for tax benefits under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act. Allowing the policy to lapse due to non-renewal will result in the loss of this tax-saving opportunity.

Reliance Health Insurance Renewal Grace Period

All Reliance Health Insurance plans offers a grace period to policyholders. The grace period provides extra time for the policyholder to pay the renewal premium after the due date. By paying the premium within this period, policyholders can avoid a policy lapse and continue filing health insurance claims.

The grace period duration may differ from one health plan to another. However, most Reliance Health Insurance plans offer a renewal grace period of 30 days.
