Bharti AXA Life Insurance policy offers financial protection to individuals and their families in case of an unfortunate event such as disability or death with the policyholder. It is recommended that individuals should always buy life insurance policies from insurance companies that offer a high claim settlement ratio with a simple and easy documentation process. 

Bharti AXA offers a customer-centric process of claiming insurance payouts. There are various types of insurance claims such as rider claim, death claim, group death claims, and hospitalization claim. The Bharti AXA Life Insurance Claim status process is mainly consisting of four steps: 

  • Bharti AXA Claim Intimation 

  • Bharti AXA Claim Processing 

  • Uploading Documents 

  • Claim Settlement

Bharti AXA life insurance also offers the option to register your claims via online and offline mode, based on your preferences. The claim benefits from the life insurer are received by the nominee, in case of an unfortunate demise of the policyholder. Let’s discuss all the steps involved in the claim process in detail: 

  1. Death Claims 

    1. Bharti AXA Claim Intimation 

      The nominee should inform the insurer about the claim in written form to the insurer as soon as possible. The details involve the name of the life assured, policy number, death date, place of death, claimant’s name, etc. The nominee can get the claim intimation application by visiting the nearest branch office of Bharti AXA or can also download the same from the official website of insurers. 

    2. Claim Processing 

      Bharti AXA Life insurance claim advisor assesses the claim carefully and contact the claimant through phone, SMS, or letter for the submission of the documents. 

    3. Uploading Documents

      In order to get your claim settled in a hassle-free way, you must submit the important documents. The nominee will be requested to provide a few documents to the insurance company such as: 

      • Death certificate

      • Insured’s age

      • Original policy documents, etc. 

    4. Claim Settlement 

      The insurance company is required to settle the claim within a month i.e., 30 days of receipt of all the documents submitted by the policyholder. However, sometimes insurer wants to conduct further investigations. In such cases, the insurance company has to complete all its procedures within 6 months from the receiving date of the written claim intimation form. 

  2. Maturity Claims 

    Under the maturity claim process, the insurer makes payment to the life assured on completion of the plan or the date of maturity. The amount payable comprises of sum assured amount along with any incentives/bonus. 

    In order to avail of this benefit, the policyholder is required to fill the bank discharge form with all the requested details along with the documents and then send it back to the respective bank. 

  3. Rider Claims 

    Riders are an additional benefit or attachment offered by the insurance company to the base term plan that is opted by paying an additional premium amount. Bharti AXA Life Insurance policy can be attached with different types of riders such as waiver of premium, critical illness, accidental rider, etc. All these riders follow the death claim settlement process, whereas other riders' related claims can be solved by submitting required documents along with a duly filled claim application form and copy of the policy.

  2. Additional Documents if Life assured’s death is due to accident/murder/suicide 

    • FIR Copy 

    • Post Mortem Details 

  3. Additional Documents for Non-Accidental Death 

    • Medio-legal cause Death Certificate 

    • Medical Records copy such as death summary, discharge summary, past medical reports. 

    • Doctor’s certificate who is treating you 

    • Employer certificate 

  4. Rider Claim 

    • Original policy bond 

    • Statement form of a claimant 

    • Claimant’s bank passbook and cancelled cheque 

    • Treating doctor’s certificate 

    • Certificate by Family Physician

  • A death claim always needs to be informed as early as possible after an unfortunate event with life assured 

  • Ensures the submission of claim file on time for a speedy process 

  • Chances of investigation are less if the policy is more than 3 years. 

Bharti AXA Life Insurance Claim Status – Offline

The offline claim process is quite the same as the online process, except that in offline mode you have to visit the nearest Bharti AXA branch office to register the claim. You can easily check the Bharti AXA Life Insurance Death Claim Status by email or toll-free number. The claim officer at the company will check your claim and then contact you for submitting the relevant documents. You have the option to submit the documents directly at the office or send them via post. After the reviewing of all the documents, Bharti AXA settles your claim within 5 days. Cases that require more investigation might take four months.
