Travel Insurance for Armenia

COVID-19 Requirements

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, some additional documents need to be furnished. All foreigners entering Armenia need to provide the following:

• A negative test report of a COVID-19 PCR with a sample taken not before 72 hours or,
• Proof of complete vaccination
• The vaccination certificate should be complete and the second dose should be taken at least 2 weeks (14 days) before entering Armenia
• Children up to 6 years (6 years and 11 months 29 days) must have a negative COVID-19 test report or a vaccination certificate
• Travellers can download the Armed Health application on their mobiles to present their vaccination certificates (if they have registered in the ARMED system)
• Some travellers may be subjected to quarantine

• Stick to all the protocols, especially the regional COVID-19 safety measures according to their government
• Maintain social distancing and use cashless transactions wherever possible. Don't forget to inform your credit card provider that you're heading abroad.
• Because of the COVID-19, Armenia has allowed restricting measures that may change at short notice. It is the traveller's responsibility to track these and prepare accordingly.
• Avoid travels near the border with Azerbaijan due to ongoing conflict and risks.
• Petty crime is common in Armenia. Avoid crowds, trains as the risk of pickpocketing are high here.
• Being an active earthquake zone, keep an eye on the local news and follow the officials in case you're caught in a landslide.
• Take anti-malarial medications if travelling to Armenia's western region. Carry an insect repellent.
• Always keep a copy of your passport.
• Carry your medical prescription as you may find some drugs hard to procure.
• If carrying cash amounts over USD 10,000 then you must declare them to the customs officials.
