Sri Lanka visa is official permission that allows foreign nationals to enter the country of Sri Lanka for a short period of time. It allows its holders to visit as well as stay in Sri Lanka for a limited period of time. A Sri Lanka visa allows the Sri Lankan government to regulate the duration and conditions of a foreigner’s stay in their country. It is issued by the Department of Immigration & Emigration of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Visa Cost

The Sri Lanka visa cost consists of an official ETA fee along with the service fee. According to the recent notification of the Tourism Ministry of Sri Lanka, tourists arriving from India and 47 other countries will not have to pay the Sri Lanka visa cost. This notification is valid until January 31, 2020.

Foreign nationals traveling on official or diplomatic passports are exempted from paying the Sri Lanka visa cost. This is applicable only if the Sri Lanka visa application has been submitted by the ministries, Sri Lanka Overseas Missions, Statutory Bodies, etc.
