      How is Road Tax Calculated in Goa?

      The Goa road tax is calculated based on the following factors of a vehicle:

      • Cubic Capacity (CC) of an engine
      • Number of seats or vehicle seating capacity
      • Use of a vehicle (private or commercial)
      • The ex-showroom cost of a vehicle
      • Type of fuel (CNG, diesel, petrol, etc.)
      • Vehicle age (if transferring registration from another state)
      • Type of vehicle (two-wheeler, goods vehicle, four-wheeler)

      Road Tax in Goa for Four-Wheelers

      The Goa vehicle tax structure for non-transport four-wheelers is mentioned below:

      INR 10 Lakhs to INR 20 Lakhs 15% of the cost of the vehicle

      Road Tax in Goa for Two-Wheelers and Three-Wheelers

      The road tax structure in Goa for two-wheelers and three-wheelers is given in the table below.

      How to Pay Goa Road Tax Online?

      You can check these steps to pay the Goa road tax online:

      • Visit the official website of the Parivahan Sewa.
      • Click on the 'Online Services' menu, and tap on 'Vehicle Related Services'.
      • Choose 'Goa', then your RTO, and click 'Proceed'.
      • Click on the option given for 'Pay Road Tax'.
      • Type in the details of your vehicle registration and click 'Verify Details'.
      • Insert the OTP and pay the Goa road tax.

      How to Pay Goa Road Tax Offline?

      You can also make the Goa road tax payment offline with the help of these steps:

      • Visit your nearest regional transport office (RTO).
      • Request a form for the Goa road tax payment and fill it out.
      • Submit the filled-out form and the required documents.
      • Pay the Goa road tax amount.

      Penalties for Late or Non-Payment of Goa Road Tax

      In case of a delayed or non-payment of the Goa road tax, the tax officer can impose a penalty on the remaining amount at their discretion. However, the penalty imposed must not exceed 50% of the tax payable.
