      Road Tax in West Bengal for Two-Wheelers

      For private two-wheelers, there is a lifetime road tax which is valid for 15 years in West Bengal. It is charged based on the engine capacity and is given in the table below:

      West Bengal Road Tax for Commercial Vehicles

      The Transport Department of West Bengal imposes a road tax on commercial vehicles based on their seating capacity (passenger vehicles) and Gross Vehicle Weight (goods-carrying vehicles).

      How to Pay West Bengal Road Tax Online?

      You can pay the West Bengal road tax online by visiting the Parivahan Sewa portal using the listed steps:

      • Visit the official Parivahan Sewa website.
      • Tap on the 'Online Services' menu and then choose 'Vehicle Related Services'.
      • Choose 'West Bengal' from the dropdown list.
      • Click on your local Regional Transport Office (RTO) (e.g., Kolkata, Howrah, Siliguri) and then select 'Proceed'.
      • Click the 'Pay Your Tax' option to make a payment.
      • Type in the details of your vehicle registration and click 'Verify Details'.
      • Provide the OTP and pay the West Bengal road tax via GRIPS.
