Design:

  • RC 390 looks exactly like RC 200 with different graphics.
  • The graphics have more shades of orange & the motorcycle looks absolutely aggressive in styling with dual projector head lamps.
  • The bike features a sharper rake & low set of clip-on handle bars.
  • Bike’s dimensions are 2002 mm x 873 mm x 1267 mm (L x W x H)

Power & Performance:

RC 390 is powered by same engine as Duke 390 373.2cc single cylinder engine. It is tuned in the same state which means it is geared tall & power is similarly explosive. It is more aerodynamic than Duke 390 due to its fairing. Fairing also helps protect the rider during the high speed runs.

Braking & Handling:

RC 390 handles sharply. The revised seating position with sharper rakes & low set of clip-on handle bars give you even more confidence than Duke 390. Due to the lower clip-ons long rides become difficult. It is something that you eventually get used to by managing your weight by thighs. The tires are same as on Duke 390 which are German made Metzeler tyres 110/70 17’ tyre in front & 150/60 17’. The tyres offer exceptional grip in both dry & wet conditions. They are made of soft compound which doesn’t need to get heated to offer grip. However, they have low life of about 12K-15K Km depending on your riding style

  • The seat on RC 390 is more accommodating than its naked sibling.
  • Both shorter & taller riders will find themselves welcome here.
  • Duke 390 gets a 300mm disc brake in front & a single 230mm disc at the rear.
  • The bike gets Bosch 9M dual channel ABS system as standard.

What Insurance cover to opt for:

RC 390 being a full faired bike needs care. Proper insurance cover will ensure you have complete peace of mind during the ownership.

  • RC 390 is prone to theft. That is why it is a good idea to have an insurance that gives you complete cover from theft.
  • Having cover against crashes, vandalism etc. is always a good idea.
  • Value of plastics depreciates a lot. 0% depreciation insurance goes a long way in keeping the repair bills down in case of a fall.
  • Always prefer an insurance that gives you cashless benefit.
