Eligibility Criteria to Buy New India Overseas Mediclaim Insurance Policy

Age Limit ( policy should be purchased before departure from India)

6 months to 70 years

 

 

Pre-medical Checkups

· If the trips exceed a period of more than 60 days

· If the age of the insured members is above 60 years ( USA/Canada

· If the age of the insured member’s is above 70 years when visiting countries other than USA/Canada

· If there are any pre-existing illnesses mentioned in the proposal form

 

Medical Reports ( in case of pre-medical check-ups)

The proposal should be attached with the following medical reports:

· Fasting blood Sugar

· Urine Strip Test Report

· ECG report

All the medical reports to be signed by the medical practitioner with a minimum qualification of M.D.

New India Overseas Mediclaim Insurance Policy Exclusions

New India Assurance for a travel insurance plan will not compensate for claims arising due to the following circumstances:

Claim for loss/damage cover for injuries due to professional sports activities like swimming, mountaineering, racing, etc.

Travelling against the advice of the doctor

Damage or loss from nuclear or civil war

Claims arising due to pre-existing diseases

Damage while travelling in an unlicensed aircraft

Military, air force, and navy personnel cannot be covered under the policy

Claim for loss/damage cover for injuries due to professional sports activities like swimming, mountaineering, racing, etc.

Damage or loss incurred from criminal activities

First USD 100 are to be borne by the traveler

Self-inflicted injuries
