Heartbeat Family First Health Insurance Policy Details

  • Coverage Type: Family floater
  • Discount: In case the Max Bupa Heartbeat policy term is extended to 2 years, then 12.5% discount can be availed on 2nd-year premium
  • Sum Assured in Silver Plan: (Rs.)               1 lakhs, 2 lakhs, 3 lakhs, 4 lakhs and 5 lakhs per person. Rs. 3 lakhs, 4 lakhs, 5 lakhs, 10 lakhs, and 15 lakhs floater sum assured ( on floater basis over basic sum insured)
  • Sum Assured in Gold Plan: (Rs.) 1,2,3,4,5,10 and 15 lakhs per insured person. Floater sum assured ranges from 3 lakhs, 4 lakhs, 5 lakhs, 10 lakhs, 15 lakhs, 20 lakhs, 30 lakhs and 50 lakhs ( on floater basis over basic sum insured)
  • Sum Assured in Platinum Plan: Individual sum assured options Rs. 5 lakh to 15 lakhs. Family floater options ranging from Rs. 15 lakhs to 50 lakhs.

  • 60 days of pre-hospitalization cover and 90 days post hospitalization expenses are covered

  • Newborn baby cover is provided until the next policy year, without the need of paying any extra amount of premium. Vaccination expenses are also covered if you continue to insure the baby in the next policy year

There is no limit on the entry age to buy this policy.

Special Coverage Provided under Platinum Heartbeat Plan

  • You can choose the hospital room category without any restriction
  • International treatment support for critical illnesses (except the USA and Canada) up to the sum insured. By paying an additional premium you can get cover in the USA and Canada. Critical illnesses that are specifically covered include - leukemia, sarcoma, and lymphoma. Heart Attack,
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Organ transplantation for heart, liver, kidney, lungs, pancreas, stroke, surgery of aorta including graft, coronary angioplasty, brain surgery, and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
  • Covers emergency medical evacuation within and outside India, including air ambulance provision or commercial flight for evacuation purposes.
  • Homeopathy treatment, Unani treatment, Sidha, and Ayurveda treatment
  • Specified vaccination cover for insured children up to 12 years of age. The plan also provides consultation related to growth and nutrition during vaccination visits.
  • Compensation for a second medical opinion in case of specified Illnesses and surgical treatments

Claim Settlement Process of Max Bupa Heartbeat Family First Plan

  • Step 1- Have a look at the list of hospitals and choose the hospital which is in proximity to your house. It is advisable to pick a hospital within 72 hours of the treatment.
  • Step 2 - For easy identification process, you should carry your Max Bupa Health Card or the policy number along with any of the below-mentioned documents -
    • Voter’s Id Card
    • Passport
    • PAN Card
    • Driving License
  • Step 3- Once your identity is validated by the empanelled hospital, the pre-authorization form will be submitted to the insurance provider - in this case, it is Max Bupa.
  • Step 4 - Max Bupa will provide the decision to the network hospital within half an hour, and no further documentation will be required from your end.
  • Step 5 - You will be admitted to the hospital, and after hospitalization, you can sign the documents, bills, forms after discharge. The procedure is simplified further with the help of a relationship manager, who is assigned to assist you throughout the claim procedure.
  • Step 6 - The payments are made for pre-approved treatment as per the policy documents.
