    Under the Niva Bupa (Formerly known as Max Bupa) Money Saver Individual Policy, the following coverage is extended:

    • In-patient Care: The plan covers hospitalization of the person insured up to the Sum insured limit at any network hospitals. It allows cashless settlement of a claim for in-patient hospitalization. 
    • Emergency Hospitalization: The policy covers the policyholder's emergency hospitalization due to accidents or diseases that require emergency treatment of a person insured.
    • Ambulance Cover: An emergency ambulance cover is provided under this policy. The plan pays for the ambulance charge per hospitalization of the person insured.
    • Hospital Accommodation: The plan covers the cost of room rent charged per day on hospitalization of a person insured. There is no sub-limit on the room rent for a single private room.

    Inclusions of this Plan

    The inclusions of the Niva Bupa (Formerly known as Max Bupa) Money Saver Individual Policy are:

    • Pre-hospitalization: The policy covers the cost of treatments taken before hospitalization of the person insured for a maximum of up to 30 days before the date of admission to the hospital.
    • Domiciliary Hospitalization: Niva Bupa (Formerly known as Max Bupa) Money Saver Individual policy reimburses the cost of domiciliary hospitalization as per medical practitioners' advice if there is an unavailability of a bed at a hospital.
    • Post-Hospitalization: The policy covers the cost of treatments taken after hospitalization of the person insured for a maximum of up to 60 days after the date of admission to the hospital.

    • Hazardous activities
    • Neurodegenerative and Neurodevelopmental Disorders
    • Sexually transmitted infections & diseases
    • Addictive disorders
    • Sleep disorders
    • Unlawful activity

    Features and Benefits of this Plan

    The features of Niva Bupa (Formerly known as Max Bupa) Money Saver Individual Health Insurance policy are:

    • Day Care Treatment: This plan covers all daycare treatment in the policy. Day Care treatments are those for which the person insured is hospitalized for less than 24 hours. The treatments covered include ENT, dental, and other such treatments.
    • Organ Transplant: The plan covers the expenditures for an organ donor's in-patient transplantation.
    • Cumulative Bonus: For every no-claim year, Niva Bupa (Formerly known as Max Bupa) Health Insurance adds a cumulative bonus of 20% on the sum insured amount that can be upto a maximum of 100% on the base sum assured.
    • No Reduction of Bonus: In this plan, the accumulated cumulative bonus doesn't reduce once it is increased, irrespective of the claims.
    • Health Tests: Niva Bupa (Formerly known as Max Bupa) provides medical tests to the policyholder every year.
    • Renewal: Plan renewal has no age limit. Once policyholders buy Niva Bupa (Formerly known as Max Bupa) Money Saver Individual, they get lifetime renewability.
    • Direct Claim Settlement: All Niva Bupa (Formerly known as Max Bupa) Health Insurance policies have an efficient in-house team for settling claims directly so that no third party is involved. This provides faster settlement of claims.
    • AYUSH Benefits: The plan covers non-allopathic and traditional treatments like Unani, Siddha, Ayurveda, and Homeopathy, under AYUSH benefits to a maximum of the Sum Insured amount.

    Cancellation of Policy

    If the policyholder is not satisfied with this plan, one can cancel it. The cancellation must be made within 15 days from the policy commencement date. The policyholder gets all the premiums paid less taxes and stamp duty by the insurer; provided, no claims have been paid out.
