About Star Health Super Star Plan
Star Health Super Star plan provides unlimited medical coverage to the insured once in the lifetime of the policy with the ‘Limitless Care’ benefit. It also comes with the ‘Freeze Your Age’ benefit, which freezes the entry age of the policyholder and charges premium on that age until a claim is raised. The plan also offers a 100% additional sum insured at each renewal and unlimited restoration of the sum insured.

Star Health Super Star Plan Inclusions, Exclusions & Optional Cover
The Star Health Super Star Plan includes the following coverage:

In-patient Hospitalization ExpensesIt covers medical expenses incurred on a minimum hospitalization of 24 hours, including room rent, ICU charges, doctor’s fees, medicine costs, etc.

Day Care TreatmentsIt pays for the cost of day care treatments, requiring hospitalization of less than 24 hours.

Pre-hospitalization ExpensesIt covers the medical expenses incurred for up to 90 days before hospitalization.

Post-hospitalization ExpensesIt pays for the medical expenses incurred for up to 180 days after hospital discharge.

Modern TreatmentsIt covers the cost of availing 12 modern treatments or procedures, including stem cell therapy, robotic surgeries, oral chemotherapy and deep brain stimulation.

AYUSH TreatmentIt pays for the in-patient treatments availed through Yoga, Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy at an AYUSH hospital.
The following medical expenses are excluded under the Star Health Super Star Plan:

Obesity and Weight Control TreatmentIt does not pay for the surgical expenses incurred on the treatment of obesity or weight control.

Dietary Supplements and SubstancesIt does not cover the cost of dietary supplements and substances available without a prescription.

Treatment for Alcoholism, Drugs or Substance AbuseIt does not pay for the treatment cost of alcohol addiction, drug or substance abuse.

Vaccination ExpensesIt does not cover vaccination expenses, except for post-bite treatment and therapeutic treatments.

Treatments for Injuries due to Hazardous or Adventure SportsIt does not pay for the treatment of injuries sustained due to hazardous and adventure sports.

Cosmetic or Plastic SurgeryIt does not cover the cost of cosmetic or plastic surgery unless required after an accident.

Limitless CareIt covers the cost of the in-patient treatment or day care procedure without any sum insured limit once in the lifetime of the policy.

Quick ShieldIt waives off the waiting period for pre-existing diabetes, coronary artery diseases, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and asthma by covering these diseases from day 31. This cover is available to people up to the age of 65 years only.

Super Star BonusIt pays a 100% additional sum insured to the insured after each renewal, irrespective of the claims filed in the previous year.

Maternity BenefitIt covers the maternity expenses incurred on normal or caesarean delivery, pre-natal care, post-natal care and assisted reproduction treatment. This maternity insurance benefit also covers the hospitalization expenses of the newborn baby.

Coverage for Non-Medical ItemsIt covers the cost of non-medical items or consumables used during in-patient hospitalization or day care treatment.

Women CareIt covers the treatment cost of a newborn baby from day 1, including the treatment for congenital defects. However, this benefit is only available for pregnant women.

Star Health offers two types of claim settlements – cashless and reimbursement. Follow the steps to raise a claim:
- Find the nearest network hospital of Star Health
- Get admitted to the hospital
- Notify the insurance company about the hospitalization
- In case of pre-planned hospitalization, intimate the insurer before hospital admission.
- Fill up the pre-authorization form and submit it to the hospital staff
- The pre-authorization form will be sent to Star Health for approval.
- Once approved, obtain medical treatment.
- At the time of discharge, sign all the medical documents.
- Pay for the items/services not covered under the Star Health policy
- The network hospital will send the hospital bill to Star Health.
- After review, the insurance company will pay the bill amount directly to the network hospital.
- Inform the insurance company about the hospitalization
- In case of planned hospitalization, notify the insurer before hospital admission.
- Receive medical treatment
- At the time of discharge, pay the entire hospital bill in full.
- Collect all the medical documents, bills and payment receipts
