Design:

  • Speed Triple is a naked bike with Triumph’s patented ‘Bug Eye’ headlights protruding in the front.
  • It has slightly taller seat with a forward lean stance into the handle bar.
  • The wide handle bar, twin under seat exhaust, large sculpted tank & twin spar frame complete the muscular styling of Speed Triple.
  • The bike comes in three color schemes Diablo Red, Crystal White & Phantom Black.
  • Bike’s dimensions are 2100 mm x 795 mm x 1110 mm (L x W x H)

Power & Performance:

Speed triple is powered by 1050cc in line three engine. Being an inline three it torque starts building from low RPMs & the power available throughout the rev range. Bike is short geared & that means one can get the best out of the engine at street legal speeds. Due to the abundance of torque & lack of any sort of traction control power wheelies are at a twist of the throttle.

Braking & Handling:

Speed Triple weighs about 214 kg wet & has a fat tyre in the rear. However, all of that becomes irrelevant as soon as you give it some gas. The bike takes to corners really well. One can easily weave in & out of traffic easily. Stability on the highways is also great. It has 43mm upside down telescopic forks in the front & mono shock absorber at the rear. It rides on 120/70 17’ front & 190/55 17’ rear wheels.

  • The seat on Speed Triple is comfortable with deep knee recess in the tank with enough space for taller riders. Shorter riders will have a bit of difficulty in putting the foot down.
  • Speed Triple gets Twin 310mm disc brakes in front & a single 255mm disc at the rear.
  • The bike gets ABS as standard. However, there is no traction control system.

What Insurance cover to opt for:

Speed Triple is a beautifully made bike from Triumph with impeccable fit & finish levels. Having a good insurance cover helps with the repairs in case of a slip or a mistake while riding.

  • It is a good idea to have an insurance that gives you complete cover from theft, vandalism which is a big problem in India especially for a premium bike.
  • 0% depreciation insurance will help in keeping your wallet heavy in case of any slip or fall.
  • Always prefer an insurance that gives you cashless benefit.
