These include the COVID-19 vaccination certificates, recovery proofs, and other test results which are necessary to be presented before the airport authorities. As per a press release, IATA’s new mobile app will help passengers by informing them about the kind of tests, vaccines, and other travel guidelines required by the country they are traveling to. The app will also provide them details like where the users can get tested, as well as let them share their vaccination and test results. This will be done in a secure and verifiable manner without compromising their privacy, which will help encourage the governments to open their borders.

The app consists of the following modules:
- Registry of Health Requirements: This will let the travelers find required information related to their vaccine, travel, and testing requirements for their journey.
- Registry of Testing and Vaccination Centers: This will assist passengers in finding verified testing and vaccination centers before or after their arrival.
- Lab App: This will authorize medical labs and other testing facilities to issue the test results or vaccination certificates to the travelers.
- Travel PASS App: Through this application, passengers can create a digital passport as well as confirm if their vaccination certificates/ tests meet the standards. It will also let the users share their results with the authorities.
This digital passport will provide a global standard for digital vaccination certifications and facilitate easier and quicker travel in a reliable manner.
