Here are the benefits offered under the ICICI Pru term insurance plans:

Death Benefits

The death benefit will be paid to the nominee, in case of the policyholder’s untimely death during the policy term. The benefits payable will be the highest of the following:

Sum assured
105% of the total premiums paid till the date of death or diagnosis of terminal illness, whichever is earlier
Surrender value on the date of death or diagnosis of terminal illness, whichever is earlier
Minimum life cover

The minimum life cover is equal to the death benefit multiple times the annualised premium/single premium.

Increasing Sum Assured

The sum assured payable on the death of the policyholder will be equal to the following:

Single Pay: Single premium x sum assured factor applicable for policy month ‘t’
Limited Pay: Annualized premium x {number of months for which the premiums are paid till the policy month ‘t’ / 12} x sum assured factor applicable for policy month ‘t’.

Maturity Benefits

On the survival of the policyholder, the 100% refund of premiums paid towards the policy will be returned the customer. In case of the policyholder’s death on the date of maturity, the maturity benefit will be paid instead of the death benefit.

Silver’s Benefits

With the policy’s Silver’s benefits, the policyholder can receive a periodic complimentary health check-up, depending on the following conditions:

The benefit can be used after:
- The completion of at least 3 policy years, from the date of policy issuance.
- The life assured has turned 50 years or more as of the date of requesting the health check-up benefits.
