German visa fees for Indians depend on the type of German visa, the purpose of your visit, duration, and more. The visa fee for a short-stay German visa starts at EUR 45 for children (aged 6-12 years) and is EUR 90 for adults. However, if you wish to apply for a student visa, national visa, etc., you must pay the applicable fee.
The fee for your Germany visa will be different for different types of visas. To apply for a German visa, you must submit the required documents, such as your passport, travel itinerary, hotel bookings, flight tickets, and a valid travel health insurance. A short-stay visa for Germany depends on your age. You can apply for a Schengen visa at the designated visa application centres across India to visit Germany. Here is the fee that you must pay:

A long stay German visa fee depends on your purpose of visiting Germany. You need to pay the following visa fees when submitting the visa application:

Note: German visa fees are non-refundable and can be paid via a demand draft at the end of your visa appointment. Only the German Embassy in New Delhi accepts visa fees in cash.
A Short-Stay Schengen Visa can be extended only in exceptional cases. You do not have to pay any fees if the stay is due to humanitarian reasons or force majeure (unforeseen events beyond control). However, if it’s for serious personal reasons such as medical treatment, you must pay EUR 30.
Note: If an extension is requested for the second time, a fee of INR 6,263* (EUR 60) is charged for adults, and INR 3,131.52* (EUR 30) is levied on children.
For a National Visa (D visa), you can extend the residence permit you obtained after entering Germany. The extension fee depends on the type of residence permit you hold:
