Ans. Yes, you can get a refund if you cancel your policy before the date of journey. In case you want to cancel before the end date after you are back to the Republic of India, you will get a refund of the premium for the leftover days (minimum 10 days). In both the cases a cancellation charge will be deducted from the refund. No refunds will be given on a policy with claims.
