      How PM-JAY works in Chhattisgarh

Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY operates in Chhattisgarh under the local name Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Swasthya Yojana (SVNSASY), which was originally launched on January 1, 2020, as the Dr Khoobchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana (DKBSSY). In Chhattisgarh, it is directly administered by the State Health Agency (SHA) of Chhattisgarh.

The agency empanels the hospitals, fixes the rate of treatment packages, and authorises claims through an online portal.

To simplify the process, the SHA Chhattisgarh directly links the eligibility to the state ration cards. Additionally, they post the Ayushman Mitras in empanelled hospitals to assist the beneficiaries in making their e-cards for cashless admission into the hospitals.
