Electronic challan or e-challan is an advance and latest medium of issuing traffic challans against any of the traffic rule violators in the country. Once the e-challan is issued against any of the violators he/she will have to pay for it online.
With the help of cameras installed on every traffic signal, any traffic rule violator can be spotted by these cameras, and then an e-challan is issued against them online. Once the traffic police issue the e-challan, it is sent to the registered number and email ID of the defaulter. The officers sitting in the traffic police control room sees everything through those cameras and when the camera detects any violator they look for the defaulter through the registered vehicle number and gets all the details about the driver/rider. The e-challan issued against the defaulter must be paid within 60 days.
Check E-challan Online in Bangalore
When Bangalore traffic police issue an e-challan, it is sent to the registered mobile number of the defaulter as well as email ID. The defaulter has to pay the challan issued by the traffic police of Bangalore within 60 days or it will be transferred to the court.
If it is forwarded to the court then the judge can apply an additional penalty along with the issued e-challan. The judge can send the defaulter to jail for 3 months or both.

- If no challan has been issued against you then it will show the status “Challan Not Found” on a dialogue box
- If there is a pending challan issued against you then a page will show all the details related to that challan
How To Pay The Bangalore Traffic Police Challan Online?
Well, as per the traffic fines, you can be booked with an e-challan from parking your vehicle in an unauthorized place to crossing the speed limit, drunk driving etc. Here are the steps that you can follow to make e-challan payment online for the Bangalore traffic police e challan.
- Visit the official website of e-challan Parivahan
- You will have to enter your challan number, vehicle number, driving license number
- You will see a captcha code that you will have to enter then click on the tab “Get Details
- Now enter the e-challan details required on the next page
- You will see a tab with “Pay Now” written on it. Click on it.
- Now you can choose the payment medium according to you. You can choose to pay from your debit/credit card or through net banking.
- When the payment is done you will get a confirmation message on your registered mobile number.
There is another official website of the Karnataka government through which you can pay e-challan online. Follow the steps below to make the payment.
- Visit the Karnatakaone website
- Now click on the tab “Online Services”
- Now out of all the categories mentioned selecting the “Police”
- Now you will see a tab “Pay Traffic Violation Fine” Click on it.
- Another page will open and you can select the “Avail online” option
- Now you will have to select the city and click on “Pay Now”
- Enter the RC number
- Now click on “Pay Now”
- Once the payment is done, you will get a confirmation message on your registered mobile number.
