Types of Car Insurance Plans Offered by National Insurance Company

National Insurance Company majorly offers two types of private four-wheeler insurance policies. These are:

      1. National Car Insurance Liability Only Policy

The National Insurance liability only car policy covers a car owner against third-party liabilities arising due to a road accident by an insured car. It provides coverage against third party bodily injuries/death and third-party property damages. A liability only policy helps you abide by the motor laws of India, which makes it mandatory for every car owner to purchase third-party insurance.

Under the National car insurance liability only policy, the compensation amount is unlimited for third party's death or bodily injuries. However, the coverage for third-party property damage is limited to Rs. 7.5 Lakh.

      2. National Car Insurance Package Policy

The package policy by the National Insurance Company covers any loss or damage to the insured car from an accident, natural calamity, fire, theft, etc. It also covers the owner-driver of the insured car against bodily injuries or death.

Moreover, the Annual Package policy covers any third-party liability arising due to injury/death or property damage during an accident by the insured car.

The following are the motor insurance policies offered by the National Insurance Company (for new cars purchased on or after 1st September 2018):

        • 3-year liability only policy
        • 3-year package policy
