Types of Bharti AXA Car Insurance Plans
Bharti AXA General Insurance Company offers three major types of car insurance plans that you can buy. These are:
1. Bharti AXA Third-Party Private Car Policy
Bharti AXA Third Party four-wheeler insurance plan covers a policyholder against third party legal liabilities arising due to a road accident by the insured car. It covers the car owner against third-party property damages, third-party bodily injuries and death. Under this plan, the liability for the third-party property is limited to Rs. 7.5 lakh while the liability to death/injury of a third party is unlimited.
The third-party liability plan also offers Rs.15 lakh worth of personal accident cover for the owner-driver of the insured car. This cover is mandatory for every car owner in India but does not cover damages sustained by the insured car.
2. Bharti AXA Stand-Alone Own Damage Private Car Policy
The Stand-Alone Own Damage plan covers the policyholder against damages sustained by the insured car due to a road accident, theft, fire, natural and manmade disasters, etc. This plan does not cover any third-party liability and can be purchased only if you already have active third-party four-wheeler insurance.
This plan also offers personal accident cover for the owner-driver of the insured vehicle. The Stand-Alone own damage policy is not mandatory but can be purchased if a policyholder wants to extend insurance coverage to the insured car also.
3. Bharti AXA Private Car Package Policy
Bharti AXA Private Car Package policy offers coverage to the insured car against damages arising due to a road accident, theft, fire, calamities, etc. This plan also covers third-party accidental liabilities such as third-party property damage, injury/death involving the insured car. Furthermore, it provides personal accident cover of Rs.15 lakhs to the owner-driver of the insured car.
The private car package policy is not mandatory but recommended as it offers wider coverage. Moreover, this plan can also be enhanced by purchasing add-on covers at an extra premium.
In addition to these plans, Bharti AXA General Insurance Company also offers a bundled policy for new cars. This bundled plan includes a 3-year third party cover and 1-year own damage cover in a single insurance plan.
Steps to Download a Bharti AXA Car Insurance Policy
A Bharti AXA car insurance policy download is a simple task. You can easily download your Bharti AXA car insurance policy by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit Policybazaar.Com and select ‘Car Insurance’ under the ‘Insurance Products’ tab
Step 2: Fill up the available form with your car number or select ‘Proceed without a car number’ or ‘I have a brand new car’
Step 3: Enter your city, RTO, car brand, model, car fuel type and car registration year
Step 4: Enter the name, email and mobile number of the car owner
Step 5: Select “View Prices”
Step 6: Now find Bharti AXA four-wheeler insurance plans. You can also view the policy details by selecting the ‘Policy Details’ option.
Step 7: You can select add-on covers if you want and select the plan.
Step 8: Confirm other details on the next page
Step 9: Select the option of “Pay Securely”
Step 10: Now, you can make a payment using your preferred payment mode.
Step 11: Once the payment is successful, you will be asked for a few details for the policy documents to be issued.
Once you have entered the required details correctly, your Bharti AXA four-wheeler insurance policy will be issued and your policy documents will be sent to your registered email id. You can now download the Bharti AXA car insurance policy and save it on your laptop or mobile phone.
Do I Require a Hard Copy of My Bharti AXA Car Insurance Policy?
As per the motor laws of India, it is mandatory for car owners to have a valid motor insurance policy. However, carrying a physical copy of motor insurance is not compulsory every single time you are driving. You can simply download the Bharti AXA car insurance policy on your device and show the soft copy whenever required. Thus, it is not needed to carry the original or physical copy of your motor insurance policy as long as you are carrying the soft copy.
