Types of Magma Claim Settlement Process

Magma General Insurance Company offers two types of claim settlement processes, cashless claims and reimbursement claims. The company has more than 4,000 network garages spread across India where a policyholder can get his/her four-wheeler repaired.

      Cashless Claim Settlement

Magma car insurance offers a cashless claim process under which a policyholder can get the insured car repaired in an authorised network garage without having to pay anything from his/her pocket. Under this process, the car insurance company settles the claim directly with the network garage.

      Reimbursement Claim Settlement

If a policyholder gets the insured car repaired at a non-authorised network garage, then he/she can claim the repairs under a reimbursement claim settlement process. Under this process, the insurance company upon complete verification reimburses the repair amount to the policyholder after the repairs are completed in a non-network garage.

How to File a Magma Car Insurance Claim?

Follow these steps to raise a Magma motor insurance claim:

      Accidental Claims:

      • Inform the Insurer: In the event of accidental damages, the first step would be to inform the insurer about the damages sustained by the insured car. You must intimate the insurer within the next 48 hours of the accident. Upon intimation, the insured will register your claim.
      • Damages Assessment: Once the claim has been registered, the insurer will send a surveyor to assess the cost of damage sustained by the insured four-wheeler.
      • Documents Verification: You will also need to submit some compulsory documents to the surveyor for claim verification. Make sure to keep these documents handy with you.
      • Claim Settlement: After claim verification, the insured car will be sent to the network garage for repairs. As soon as the repairs are done, your insurer will settle the claim under cashless claim settlement. In case of repairs done in a non-network garage, the insurer will reimburse you the claim amount covered in your car policy after the repairs.

      Third-Party Claims

      • If your vehicle has damaged a third party's property or has caused injuries to the third party, immediately lodge an FIR at the nearest police station. Also, inform your insurer about the same.
      • The insurance company will then forward the same to the Motor Insurance Claim Tribunal Court for the verdict
      • Once the case has been verified, the court will decide the amount of compensation to be paid to the third party.
      • The process will be the same if your car has been damaged by a third party and you are to receive compensation for the same.
