Form 42 is submitted by or on behalf of the consular or diplomatic officer to apply for motor vehicle registration. Yes, in order to register a vehicle under the diplomatic category, Form 42 must be submitted. This is due to the fact that these vehicles are issued unique registration certificates that set them apart from other vehicles.
Form 42 must be used by diplomatic and consular officers to apply for a vehicle registration certificate. The form can also be submitted by an authorised representative on behalf of the diplomatic officer.
