Form 50A is issued during vehicle recall investigations to inform the concerned importer, manufacturer, or retrofitter about the reasons for which samples of their vehicles or components have been collected by the investigating officer.
The investigating officer appointed by the Central Government to conduct the investigation is responsible for issuing Form 50A to the manufacturer, importer, or retrofitter under investigation.
After Form 50A is issued, the investigating officer collects samples of the relevant vehicles or components and arranges for their testing. Based on the test results, further investigation is conducted and a final report is prepared.
Form 50A records the reasons for collecting vehicle or component samples, Form 50B contains the results of the tests conducted on those samples, and Form 50C serves as the final investigation report based on the findings.
