How to Get a Permanent Registration Certificate in Gujarat?

Follow these steps to get a permanent registration certificate from Gujarat RTO:

Fill in form 20 and submit it to the concerned authority

Submit all the necessary documents along with proof of payment of tax

If all papers are found correct, a registration number will be allocated

The vehicle owner will be informed about the registration number via SMS or email.

Frequently asked question about RTO

No, you cannot drive without a valid insurance policy in Gujarat. As per the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, it is mandatory for every vehicle owner to have an insurance policy to drive legally on the roads of India.

You can get the details of your vehicle such as its RC details and insurance details from the Gujarat transport website or the Parivahan portal.
