How to Buy Vehicle Insurance in Maharashtra?

Purchasing a vehicle insurance policy in India is mandatory per the Motor Vehicles Act, of 1988. While third-party insurance is mandatory, owning a comprehensive cover is recommended for wider coverage.

You will be required to submit the following documents to change your address in your vehicle’s RC. Take a look:

  • Form 33 intimating the change of address
  • RC

  • Report the loss of the RC to the respective Police Station
  • Inform in writing about the loss to the respective RTO that issued the R.C.

  • Submit rest of the necessary documents
  • Pay the appropriate fee as specified under Motor Rules, 1988
