      Driving Without Insurance Fine in Jammu and Kashmir

      The Motor Laws of India makes it compulsory for every vehicle owner in Jammu and Kashmir to have a valid motor insurance policy while driving in J&K. If caught by the traffic police without an insurance policy, it will lead to heavy fines along with imprisonment.

      Rs 2,000 and/or 3 months of jail imprisonment (For the first offence)

      Documents Required for Permanent Registration in Jammu and Kashmir RTO

      Permanent registration is a mandatory requirement for every vehicle purchased to be driven in Jammu and Kashmir.       A vehicle’s registration certificate is valid for 15 years after which a vehicle owner has to get it renewed before the expiry of its tenure.
