Documents Required for Ownership Transfer in Sikkim

The ownership of a vehicle can be transferred in case the vehicle owner dies, the vehicle is sold in a normal sale or in a public auction. Here are the documents required to transfer vehicle ownership in Sikkim:

Form 29

Form 30

Form 31 (death of the owner)

Form 32 (public auction)

Legal heir certificate (death)

Affidavit from other legal heirs (death)

Certified copy of valid insurance certificate

Address proof

A certified copy of registration certificate

Evidence of up-to-date payment of all taxes

PAN card/Form 60 and 61

Photograph of the applicant (passport size as well)

Certified copy of the order of the Central Government or State Government authorising the auction of the vehicle (public auction)

The certificate or order confirming the sale of the vehicle (public auction)

Pencil traced “Chassis and Engine Number”

N.O.C. from the financer if the vehicle was hypothecated

Form 28 which is the N.O.C. for a vehicle coming from other states.
