      Driving Without Insurance Fine in Uttarakhand

      Driving without a valid motor insurance policy is a legal offence in Uttarakhand. Moreover, it may also cost you heavily if your car meets with a road accident or gets stolen. Therefore, the Indian Motor Vehicles Act of 1988 has made it compulsory for car owners in Uttarakhand to own a car insurance policy while driving in the state. In case of non-compliance with these rules, a car owner will be required to pay the following traffic fines:

      For Two-wheelers:
      First offence:1000, Second offence: 2000

      For four-wheelers:
      First offence:2000, Second offence: 4000

      Documents Required for Permanent Registration in Uttarakhand RTO

      Any motor vehicle purchased in Uttarakhand and driven in the state needs to be mandatorily registered under the UK RTO. A permanent RC can be availed from the concerned RTO within 7 days of the purchase of a vehicle. Here are the documents required for the same:
