A memo or challan is issued for the breach of the rules mentioned in the Motor Vehicles Act. Such a challan or memo mainly consists of the details of the offence, seal and signature of the person issuing the same. Usually, the documents are impounded in case of minor offence such as not paying the road taxes, overloading, driving without a fitness certificate or permit etc. In such a case, report to the RTO office along with the valid supporting documents.
