How to Register a Vehicle in Rajkot?

To register a vehicle, the owner needs to produce the following documents at concerned RTO along with the Form 20

1. Form No.21/Sales Certificate from the dealer

2. Form 22/ Roadworthiness certificate obtained from the manufacturer stating that the vehicle is in the compliance with the road safety norms

3. ID proof of the owner

Process of Availing Permanent RC in Rajkot

The Motor Vehicles Act has made it mandatory to carry a copy of Permanent RC while driving anywhere. Registration Certificate or RC indicates that a vehicle is registered with the RTO of a particular area. The Process of Getting a Temporary RC in Rajkot

A temporary registration card can be obtained at the point of the dealer while purchasing a vehicle. The temporary RC is offered for a limited period, within which the owner has to apply for the permanent registration certificate. The temporary RC number is allotted from7 days to a maximum of one month.

How to Renew Registration Certificate?

A registration certificate is valid for 15 years only and the same needs to be renewed thereafter. The concerned Registering Authority renews the RC after accessing the roadworthiness of the vehicle.  In order to renew the registration certificate, the owner needs to fill Form no. 25 and submit to the RTO Rajkot along with the below-mentioned documents:

How to Get a Duplicate Registration Certificate in Rajkot?
