RTO Gwalior

The Gwalior Regional Transport Office or RTO Gwalior was formed under the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act. It ensures the enforcement of the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act 1988, in Gwalior. Types of Registration in Gwalior

Like other cities, Gwalior has two types of registration Temporary and Permanent Registration. When temporary registration is valid for a limited period, permanent registration is valid for 15 years and needs to be renewed for another 5 years and so on. In case of temporary registration, the vehicle owner can avail it through the dealer at the time of purchasing a vehicle. However, he/she must apply for a permanent RC before the temporary one expires.

On the other hand, in order to avoid penalties, a newly bought vehicle has to be registered with concerned RTO without any fail. The process requires to fill an application and submit directly to the concerned RTO. A vehicle inspection is done by the RTO Officer and lastly, the RC number is allotted to the owner. The registration number can be availed as a Smart Card and it is sent to the registered address of the owner.

How to Register a Vehicle with RTO Gwalior?

How to Renew RC in Gwalior?

A vehicle RC is valid for not more than 15 years from the first registration. It means, to avoid penalties one has to renew the RC before it expires.
