Types of Registration in Gwalior

Like other cities, Gwalior has two types of registration Temporary and Permanent Registration. When temporary registration is valid for a limited period, permanent registration is valid for 15 years and needs to be renewed for another 5 years and so on. In case of temporary registration, the vehicle owner can avail it through the dealer at the time of purchasing a vehicle. However, he/she must apply for a permanent RC before the temporary one expires.

On the other hand, in order to avoid penalties, a newly bought vehicle has to be registered with concerned RTO without any fail. The process requires to fill an application and submit directly to the concerned RTO. A vehicle inspection is done by the RTO Officer and lastly, the RC number is allotted to the owner.
